Blog Sidebar

The Blog Sidebar template allows you to create blog index pages with a dedicated sidebar—perfect for featuring popular posts, tags, newsletter signups, or related content alongside your article list.

How to Set Up

  1. Start from the Default Blog template
Use the standard blog layout as your foundation.

  2. Hide the default Blog Posts Lists block
In the main section, locate and hide or remove the Blog posts lists block to avoid duplication.

  3. Add a Sidebar Section
Insert the Sidebar Section into your page layout.

  4. Configure the Sidebar
Inside the Sidebar Section, use the Sidebar block to add dynamic content such as:

    • Blog tags (with auto-population from current blog)
    • Recent articles
    • Newsletter form
    • Social links, contact info, or featured collections

  5. Re-add Blog Posts Lists inside the Sidebar Section
To ensure your blog post grid appears next to the sidebar (not below it), drag the Blog Posts Lists block into the main content area of the Sidebar Section (not inside the sidebar column itself).

  6. Enhance with Additional Blocks
The Sidebar Section fully supports all @theme blocks in both the main content area and the sidebar column, giving you complete flexibility to build a rich, engaging blog layout.

💡 Tip: Use the “Hidden on mobile” option in sidebar child blocks to optimize space on small screens, or enable “Collapse” mobile layout for an accordion-style experience.
